American actor and musician Awkwafina began her career with hilarious rap tracks that tackled racial identity and sexuality with boldly comedic perspective before expanding her reach into Hollywood. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Koreans living from Forest Hills Queens. Her first encounter with music was from the trumpet. After a classical and jazz education, she delved into hip-hop as a teen. In the end, she focused on her education. she earned the degree of journalist in college and a women's studies degree. She didn't start focusing on music until the time she finished her studies. Her 2012 track My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success across the Internet before settling on her debut album Yellow Ranger in 2014.
