LeBron Raymone James Sr. is an American basketball player who plays with the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. James was a basketball player during his time at St. Vincent St. Mary High in Akron Ohio, where he was raised. National media touted him as a potential NBA star. A prep-to-pro, he was chosen to the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first top pick of the 2003 NBA draft. He was named one of the NBA player of the year for 2004. Soon he became one of the best athletes of the NBA as he won an NBA MVP Award both as of 2009 and in 2010. James signed with the Miami Heat in 2010 when he became a Free Agent following his inability to win an NBA Championship in Cleveland. The announcement of his departure was broadcast in The Decision.
